Life Update April, 2013

It has yet again been a while since I updated. I thought that I would give an update on what has been going on in my life. The last time that I updated this site was back a little over 3 months ago when I posted asking James out. Three months later and I am glad that I did! I know that if you go back in the archive of this site and read previous posts about ex-boyfriends, you will see that I always think that they are “the one” and that it is going to last forever and all of this. This time, I think it is the real deal.

In the past few months, we have been super chill about things and we love each other very much. It isn’t an intense burn bright and fast then go out type of feeling this time. It built up slowly and is fairly intense right now and has stabilized there. We have not argued or had any fights about anything which has never happened to me in any relationship. We both want the same things from life. A house, kids, time with each other to travel, relax and just be happy.

YouTube Series?

Lately, since I stopped working my job at Walmart and started working as an independent contractor for Sonic.net, I have been reading a lot of books. I have started with the John Green books “Will Grayson, Will Grayson”, then read “Looking for Alaska”, “An Abundance of Katherine’s” and have now moved on to Jay Asher’s “Thirteen Reasons Why”. In reading these book (two of which were about suicide), it got me to thinking about where to take my YouTube channel.

YouTube community

So I posted my first video on YouTube on Saturday and it has been a positive experience so far. A mere 4 days later and I have 7 subscribers and a couple of comments. I am following Michael Buckly’s advice and being a more active member of the YouTube community by commenting on others channels and messaging people that I like on YouTube to look at my channel and tell me what they think.

Over time, I will keep doing this as well as adding stuff to this site like Google Ads and working to become a YouTube partner so I can have some better design options for my channel as well as making money from YouTube. It would be cool to make some money from making videos so I can stop working my “day job” at some point. It will probably never happen, but I can hope, right?
