Here it is! The last post of the series discussing my thoughts on the Walt Disney World Resort in Orland, Florida. This time, it is Animal Kingdom.
I have to say, fist off, that this is the best looking park besides Magic Kingdom. They did an excellent job of creating a theme in every part of this park. There is a TON of vegetation everywhere and it was really nice in the hot June heat and humidity.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios (formerly Disney-MGM Studios) was the one park at Disney World that we had very low expectations of before going there. I had gone online and watched complete park walkthroughs of all the Walt Disney World parks to get an idea of what we were getting into and to know our way around (at least a little bit), similar to how we can get around Disneyland.
Watching the walkthrough for Hollywood Studios, I felt like there was no good theme connecting anything together, no good, stand out food locations and it appeared hard to navigate. When we arrived there, we pretty much agreed. When you enter the park, you go down a Main Street like road, which you can either go to the end of where the Great Movie Ride is located, or you can split off in a couple of different directions.
I know that is has been a little longer than you would expect for me to get back to posting part 2 of this about Epcot, but here it is.
One of the best parts of Epcot for us was that the shuttle that we took from our hotel (off site) dropped us off right at Epcot. This also allowed us to ride the Epcot Monorail line to the Magic Kingdom when we were going there. I love the monorail at Disney World.
The Magic Kingdom is the type of park that is modeled after the original Disneyland design and layout. People will often refer to Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland itself and the Magic Kingdom in Disney World as “Magic Kingdom” parks. They have a Main Street, a hub, castle, and several themed lands.
The Magic Kingdom in Disney World is the best park of the 4 main theme parks at the resort. I am going to talk about this park and my thoughts on it land by land.
Well, James and I went to Disney World at the beginning of this month and anyone that knows me will know that I was very anti-Disney World for a long time. However, since we visited, I have a different outlook on the property there in contrast to the property in California.
This first post will be an overview of what I thought of Disney World overall and later posts will talk about the various parks and lands specifically.
