B&N Again

So I went with Beth and Kohl to Barnes and Noble again today and was planning on doing a bunch of tickets and stuff. I ended up checking my e-mail and seeing that Kelsey fixed some more Sontec issues and I got all wrapped up in looking through the Bugzilla reports and ended up doing nothing! Beth and Kohl read some books. Kohl read Would you rather and Beth read Almost Moon.
Kohl’s book was pretty funny. There were some chicks at B&N that were talking about the most boring and irritating stuff like their bills, their retirement and the economy. I don’t know why, but I kept hearing this lady’s voice over everything and I wanted to kill them and myself.

So, as I was sitting at home today waiting to go to work after I are my breakfast of Cup ‘o Noodles, I decided that I needed to get out of the house and use this Boingo wireless account that I signed up for at the Minneapolis International Airport when we missed our flight going to Beth and Matt’s wedding. The nearest place was right up the street at the Barnes and Noble in the Valley View Mall.
So I got my ass up, showered and ready for work at 4:30, and went down to the mall. I then spent the next 5-10 minutes trying to find a parking spot. Aren’t we in a recession that makes everyone NOT spend money? Apparently not.
Once I got there, I noticed this hot guy at the registers (ringing people up) and as I sat here typing this, I have seen like 10 hot guys walk by. I think that I may want to come here and get out of the house more often, if only to see the hotness. Although, as Christmas comes along, it is going to get harder and harder to find a parking space, justify to myself the effort of waging war against the snow is worth it and all the crowds. We will see.

So, I have been watching a lot of movies lately and wanted to suggest a few to the masses. I will list what I have seen and what I think you should see of those.
A little movie from the here! network called Shelter. Awesome movie and everyone should watch it!
National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. Not a bad movie, if you like Indiana Jones, you will like this one.
Be Kind Rewind. I thought that this movie was going to be WAY funnier than it actually was. See it if you want to kill some time and you don’t mind OK, unrealistic humor.
George Carlin It’s Bad For Ya. See this but be warned that it was filmed at the Wells Fargo Center in Santa Rosa like 3 months ago before he died and the first part of his skit is about not being dead yet.
George Carlin Jammin in New York. Watch this one. It is funny and you can see how as much as things change over time, it also shows how much hasn’t changed in about 15 years.
I’m pretty sure that is it. Of the above, I highly suggest Shelter over the others.

So Tim let me borrow his moped tonight and all day tomorrow. I left his house with Beth at 11:30PM, came home and rode the shit out of it. I rode it to Walmart and around the block and over to Festival and then through the industrial park where I got lost, then over to UW-L. Well, as I was scampering about around UW-L, I got turned around and had to back track a bit and ended up on a sidewalk RIGHT where there was a cop hanging out. He pulled me over. Not only was I riding it in a sweater and PJ pants (it was nice out, but too chilly for just shorts), but I was next to the college dorm rooms and it looks like I am drunk college kid. He asks me where I was going and where I was coming from. I had to explain that I was basically joy riding my boss’ moped. I am sure they just love that. He explained that as a licensed vehicle, it should not be on the sidewalk and that he needed to see my license. He wasn’t going to get me a ticket or anything, but wanted to check for warrants, etc.
Of course I was clean and then he wanted to smell my breath after asking if I had anything to drink which I hadn’t. He replied, “not even one?” and I was like “nope!” So he asked me to breath in his face and I did and he let me go on about my scampering around. I quickly left the campus and headed home because I had done enough for the evening.
