From the 2003 Peter Pan Movie:

Captain Hook: She was leaving you, Pan! Your Wendy was leaving you. Why should she stay? What have you to offer? You are incomplete. Let’s take a look into the future, shall we? You fly to Wendy’s nursery and… what’s this? The window’s closed.
Peter: I’ll open it.
Captain Hook: I’m afraid the windows barred.
Peter: I’ll call out her name!
Captain Hook: She can’t hear you.
Peter: No!
Captain Hook: She can’t see you.
Peter: Wendy…!
Captain Hook: She’s forgotten all about you.
Peter: Stop it! Please! Stop it!

So Chris and I are done for. He broke up with me yesterday morning. Apparently he “isn’t the same person anymore” and “it wasn’t me, it was him”. That doesn’t make it feel any better. So, I will stick to my commitment of being single now. I am tired of all the games, the hurt, the awkwardness – all of it. If someone wants to be with me, they are going to have to really really try and prove to me that we won’t travel down this road again. I gave my heart to too many people and had it trampled on, thrown out, cheated on and lied to. No more.

In other news, Beth’s wedding was great and I ate some of the best food of my life while there. We missed our flight by 7 minutes and had to wait on standby for 2 more flights and 6 hours before we could board a plane and get there.

Upon arrival, we hit the ground running and spent the entire trip running from place to place with hardly any breaks or time to just relax. Overall, it was a good time, but I would have liked to have some more time to just relax and leisurely visit with people.

It was good seeing Kevin and Jimmy again and all the sights of Santa Rosa. I realized that I REALLY miss San Francisco, don’t really miss the beach and that the sky in Wisconsin is MUCH cleaner than the sky in California.

I have to get back to work now, so until later….
