Bright light datacenter…..

Well, if all goes well, I will FINALLY get into the datacenter this week. Jared (one of the Network Operations guys) says that he should be able to get me moved in this week. Well, I have been hearing that for a while now, but once it is done, I will be extremely happy. This site will become MUCH faster and I can start to add additional functionality to it such as Flickr like photo gallery that I can host myself and not have to pay Flick to host my images, etc.

In other news, I was surprised that Jenny, from the Roxy, visits my site! How exciting! Hi Jenny!

I hope to get some X-Mas shopping done soon for my Mom and Laura. I have no idea what to get Laura, but I am sure that I will find something. My Mom wants some perfume. I have to remember what type of perfume she wanted, that sucks.

Work today has been pretty mellow. There was only a brief period of time today where there were calls on hold when I was here and that was right at 5PM. Also, when I came in, the ticket queue was up to 36 tickets, and I whipped it into shape in like 20 mins! Most of it was spam that anyone could have marked, WTF? Who knows. Well, here is to a mellow rest of the night and a good lunch in 8 minutes.

Ok, so I am finally finished tagging and categorizing all of my posts on this site. You see, I re-imported all of my posts from LiveJournal (this time with comments in tact), and had to re-tag and re-categorize them. The site is much better now, and I feel good about it. I am going to go off to bed now, good nite.

Holiday Parties, rudeness and hilarity

Well, the Sonic.net Holiday Party was great as usual. There was a lot of gifts to be had, including a “hunting orange” colored jacket, a mag light, a fag bag and some money. The holiday bonus was better than I expected, so I am now within $300 of being able to purchase my MacBook early next year. I have to keep myself from getting it before Leopard comes out, man is that going to be hard.

In other news, Laura, Charise and I are going to MacWorld Expo this year. I was able to get free tickets online and it should be fun. I won’t be able to see the Keynote with Steve Jobs, but I can get a lot of free goodies. We will see.

On the subject of MacWorld, I gave a coworker of mine a ride to the Holiday party and we were talking about MacWorld and he INVITED HIMSELF to go! WTF? You don’t invite yourself to someone else’s gathering.

That brings me to the last bit of update; Augie. He had the balloon guy make him a balloon penis and that was the last photo that I posted. All the pictures are up and online on my photo pages.

The Sonic.net kick ass Christmas Party is in just about 11 1/2 hours! Last year was a whole bunch of fun! I sure hope that this years is as well. I am sure it will be! I am looking forward to adding some money towards my MacBook budget tomorrow. Last year, I was only there for like 3 weeks and I got $200. This year should be much better.

I get to borrow Kohl’s camera tomorrow to take pictures and I should be posting those on my Flickr account soon. I hope that I will be able to get my server to hold the images soon and ditch Flickr, but I have not found anything that I like as much.
