T-Minus 3 days…..
Sep 30th
Disneyland is only 3 days away! I am so excited, I need a vacation. I haven’t been to Disneyland in over a year! The best part about not going for a while is all the changes that have been made! First, they are doing Halloween decorations and Halloween stuff. That is really exciting. There is a great site with lots of pictures of the changes here: Darkbeer’s Smugmug Site, just click on “Theme Parks” and you will see his many galleries.
Other changes include Monsters, Inc ride, Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean, getting to see Haunted Mansion Holiday again, etc. I am really excited to see all that.
Another cool part about this trip is having someone who has never gone before! Charise is a first time Disneyland visitor! She doesn’t know what she is in for. I think it will be fun. I hope that the hotel that we are staying at will be nice. The last time we stayed at a new hotel, it was a really bad experience. Word of warning: never stay at the Parkside Inn & Suites. Worst hotel ever!
This time, we are staying at the Alamo Inn and Suites. I have heard good things about this place, we will see how it goes. It looks like the reviews are mixed for this place.
In other news, work has been ok, although I have not been feeling very well lately and have been having trouble sleeping.
Battlestar Galactica was a great show and I am disappointed that I had not started watching it sooner. Actually, I am wrong about that. I am glad that I waited because there were quite a few cliff hangers that I would not have liked waiting for. I see why so many people watched this show and why moving it away from Stargate hurt Stargate’s ratings. I am sad to see Stargate go, but with a good replacement of Battlestar Galactica, I think I will survive.
Where in the office is Tage Johnson?
Sep 22nd
Well I have completed my move to my new location. I actually am really happy on how the move turned out. It took a lot longer than I was planning for, but the layout and everything is much better than it was before. We will see how this goes…..
Moving
Sep 22nd
So for the second time in a few months I am moving my desk today at work. This will not be my last move however. In the next few months, we are getting new cubes all together, and EVERYONE will be moving. It makes me sad to move at all. I was really happy where I was sitting. But, if I get my way, I can move just across the hall to be diagonal from JDF and across the hall from HTT. I suppose it will be for the best. We will see.
The thing that sucks most is that I just moved my cube around to how it is now and I have to move it all over again. Oh well, it will get me out of the phone queue for about an hour today. First hour of work = tech meeting, second hour = moving cubes, third hour = taking calls, fourth hour = lunch, fifth – ninth hour = calls. It should be a good day (said being cautiously optimistic.
In other news, it is just under 2 weeks away before we go to Disneyland. I need to find a countdown of some sort. Found one and you can see it over there ->
Hooked on Gallactica
Sep 21st
I have just started watching the first season of Battlestar Gallactica and I think I am addicted. I was able to download it off of BitTorrent (the whole first season). The 3rd season starts in October. Man, I have a lot of TV to watch until then. I am looking forward to the series. As with all shows, there is the guy that you hate. I really hate this guy:

Like all straight guys, he greatly helped in the destruction of the universe by thinking with his dick, like ALL the time.
Anyway, I need to go to bed, so until later…..
From Disneyland to the Datacenter
Sep 10th
Well, Kohl, Laura and I have our tickets for Disneyland at the beginning at the next part of next month. I am looking forward to it as I have not been since August of 2005, which will make it 14 months since my last trip there. Since my last trip there, here is what has changed:
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Haunted Mansion (which I still will not see because of HHH)
- Monsters, Inc ride in California Adventure
- Tomorrowland (Various Changes)
I am really looking forward to seeing all these changes. I am also happy to see that 3 of the 5? days that we will be in Disneyland it is opened until midnight. I am also looking forward to seeing Remember, Dreams Come True Fireworks again. This will be the first trip for Charise to Disneyland, although she has been to Disney World before. I hope she likes it.
Speaking of Disney World, my oldest brother Darin may be flying us to Georgia in the spring to go to Disney World! I am looking forward to it, but we will see.
In other news, my mom is back from Georgia, where she had a great time. During her absence, we cleaned the house up, got rid of the cat and all got along!
Kohl ahas been taking a lot of pictures that are looking better and better. They look really professional.
I no longer have to take my computer to work as I got the Mac Mini from JDFs cube as my primary workstation and was able to keep my Win 2000 box for uses such as CPSOS and ASI Magic. I was able to get some RAM upgraded in this machine as well. 512 now, up from 256.
Which reminds me; I was able to acquire a 2U rack server that I should be able to place in the data center soon! I am really looking forward to that. I had to bug a few people here at work for it, but it is mine now! I hope to transfer this site as well as many other things to this server as soon as I have it up and running off of my home DSL connection.
